Teve in\u00edcio nesta segunda-feira (23), no Rio de Janeiro, o julgamento dos acusados pela morte do menino Henry Borel<\/strong>, de 4 anos. A sess\u00e3o ocorre no II Tribunal do J\u00fari da capital fluminense e deve se estender por v\u00e1rios dias, devido \u00e0 complexidade do caso.<\/p>\n

S\u00e3o r\u00e9us o ex-vereador Jairo Souza Santos J\u00fanior, conhecido como Dr. Jairinho, e a m\u00e3e da crian\u00e7a, Monique Medeiros. O crime aconteceu em mar\u00e7o de 2021 e ganhou repercuss\u00e3o nacional.<\/p>\n

Acusa\u00e7\u00f5es e investiga\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>
\nOs dois respondem por homic\u00eddio triplamente qualificado, tortura, coa\u00e7\u00e3o no curso do processo e fraude processual. Segundo o Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico, Henry foi v\u00edtima de agress\u00f5es dentro do apartamento onde vivia com a m\u00e3e e o padrasto.<\/p>\n

De acordo com o laudo do Instituto M\u00e9dico Legal, a crian\u00e7a apresentava 23 les\u00f5es pelo corpo. A causa da morte foi hemorragia interna e lacera\u00e7\u00e3o no f\u00edgado, provocadas por a\u00e7\u00e3o contundente.<\/p>\n

Inicialmente, os acusados afirmaram que o menino havia sofrido um acidente dom\u00e9stico, mas a vers\u00e3o foi descartada pelas investiga\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n

\nDr. Jairinho est\u00e1 preso preventivamente desde abril de 2021, ap\u00f3s ter o mandato cassado e o registro profissional de m\u00e9dico suspenso. J\u00e1 Monique Medeiros chegou a responder em liberdade, mas teve a pris\u00e3o restabelecida em 2023 e segue detida por decis\u00e3o da Justi\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

\nA repercuss\u00e3o do crime levou \u00e0 cria\u00e7\u00e3o da Lei Henry Borel, sancionada em 2022. A norma tornou hediondo o homic\u00eddio contra menores de 14 anos e ampliou medidas de prote\u00e7\u00e3o a crian\u00e7as e adolescentes v\u00edtimas de viol\u00eancia dom\u00e9stica.<\/p>\n

\nO pai do menino, Leniel Borel, afirmou que o julgamento representa mais do que a responsabiliza\u00e7\u00e3o dos acusados. \u201c\u00c9 sobre o quanto o Brasil est\u00e1 disposto a proteger suas crian\u00e7as\u201d, declarou.<\/p>\n
